The Grinch exclusive clip: Pharrell Williams narrates as Benedict Cumberbatch's grump steals Christmas
The Grinch will go to extreme measures to achieve a little peace and quiet in his cave
A Dr. Seuss classic returns to the screens thanks to the creators of Despicable Me, Illumination Entertainment.
A new animated take on The Grinch sees Benedict Cumberbatch voice the legendary grump, with a new clip that also has musician Pharrell Williams narrate his various misdeeds – specifically, the stealing of Christmas.
In the classic tale, the Grinch lives a solitary life inside a cave on Mt. Crumpit with only his loyal dog, Max, for company. Since his cave is rigged with plenty of inventions and contraptions for his day-to-day needs, so the Grinch barely needs to leave his cave, but the noise from annual Christmas celebrations in neighbouring Who-ville starts to disrupt his solitude.
And so, in his eyes, there is only one solution: he must steal Christmas.
The Secret Life of Pets director Yarrow Cheney directs here, alongside frequent Kevin Smith collaborator Scott Mosier, with Michael LeSieur on writing duty.
The Grinch is released in UK cinemas on 9 November 2018.
