Sandra Bullock's all-female continuation of Ocean's Eleven is no Hollywood rumour; it's happening and the cast list is rapidly growing.

Forever casting doubt to the wayside is the news that Helena Bonham Carter, Elizabeth Banks and comedy actor Mindy Kaling have all been signed up to star in a film that's currently called Ocean's Ocho (the title's expected to change).

Showbiz 411 has also confirmed that Cate Blanchett is definitely aboard the project assuming the film's second lead role; we're guessing Bullock will play a leader role akin to George Clooney's Danny Ocean.

Blanchett is clearly down for some non-serious laughs bolstered by the recent news she'll also appear in Thor: Ragnarok.

The film's premise will see the collective team up in order to steal a necklace from the Met Ball so they can frame a villainous gallery owner.

Director Gary Ross (The Hunger Games) will steer production alongside Steven Soderbergh - the director of 2001's remake - as well as its star and producer, Clooney. Cameras will begin rolling this autumn.

It was recently rumoured that Jennifer Lawrence was being lined up for a role in the film; with six roles left to cast, we're sure some interesting announcements are on the way.
