Hunger Games: Jennifer Lawrence ate 'garlic and tuna' before kissing Liam Hemsworth
Hemsworth found their kissing scenes 'pretty uncomfortable' as a result

Kissing Jennifer Lawrence might be the dream of many men, but Liam Hemsworth absolutely hated locking lips with his Hunger Games co-star.
The actors, who also happen to be besties, kiss in several scenes. This was super awkward, apparently, not least because cheeky Lawrence ate smelly foods beforehand.
“Any time I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable,” Hemsworth told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. “When you look at it on the outside it looks like a great picture. She’s one of my best friends. I love her.
“But if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting and right before the scene she’d be like ‘I didn’t brush my teeth’. I’d be like ‘great, I can’t wait to get in there and taste it’.”
But does Lawrence feel remotely bad about the kissing nightmares she put her friend through? Of course she doesn’t, the meanie. “I gave him fair warning,” she said at the Mockingjay Part 1 press conference.
The Oscar-winner does have some words of kindness for Hemsworth, however. “Liam is always fair, he is always kind, he is always strong,” she added.
“He’s teaching me to toughen up a little bit and it’s important. I need that. I guess the biggest surprise is that I would never expect to ever have a man this good-looking ever be my best friend. I never knew that those things could happen.”
The third instalment in the hit Hunger Games film franchise, based on Suzanne Collins’ novel series, reaches UK cinemas on 20 November.
