James Franco and Seth Rogen's new comedy The Interview has dropped its first trailer, seeing the pair team up in the hope of assassinating North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The Interview centres on TV host Dave Skylark (Franco) and his producer (Rogen), who are enlisted by the CIA for the dangerous mission.

Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote and directed the movie, following the huge success they had with last year's apocalyptic comedy This Is The End.

The pair clearly had no fear when it came to tackling the notoriously tyrannical leader, joking in the trailer that he can "speak to dolphins" but "not urinate or defecate".

Franco and Rogen first worked together in Judd Apatow's cult classic TV series Freaks and Geeks, and also collaborated on Pineapple Express.

Veep's Randall Park portrays Kim Jong-un in the movie, with Lizzy Caplan playing a CIA agent.

The Interview has an 10 October release date in the US and opens in UK cinemas on 29 October.
