IT Trailer 2

A first look at It: Chapter Two has been released, featuring James McAvoy as a grown-up Bill Denbrough.

To celebrate the actor’s 40th birthday, director Andy Muschietti posted a tribute to McAvoy on Instagram, including an image of him as Bill – our first official look at the horror sequel.

Muschietti captioned the post: “And a happy belated birthday to the great [James McAvoy] who will thrust his f-f-fists against anything that moves in September 6.”

Playing the rest of the Losers’s Club as adults are Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Andy Bean as Stan Uris, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon.

Footage shown at CinemaCon reportedly focused on Chastain’s adult Beverly Marsh, who returns to her old home in Derry. She knocks on the door to be greeted by the character Mrs Kersh, who informs her that her father has passed away and invites Beverly inside.

It: Chapter Two will be released in UK cinemas on 6 September.
