Kate Winslet, Giorgio Armani, and Shakira all win at Germany's Bambi Awards
Hollywood star Kate Winslet won best international actress for her part in The Reader at Germany's most important media awards November 26.
Austrian actor Christoph Waltz, who was previously honored at this year's Cannes Film festival, was named best international actor for his portrayal of Nazi villain Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.
Fashion designer Giorgio Armani won in the Creativity category, an honor he already received back in 1997. It was not the maestro himself who accepted the award in Berlin however but his niece Roberta Armani, naturally clad in her uncle's design.
Other recipients of this year's Bambi, which paid tribute to the 20th anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin Wall, included Colombian singer Shakira and the Klitschko boxing brothers.
The awards, annually presented by Hubert Burda media, honor the best in international and national music, film, television, and sports.
