Man crashes the Spectre premiere and after party, films the whole thing
He wound up knocking back champagne with the cast
For a film about the Secret Service, security wasn’t particularly high at the Spectre premiere on Monday night, where a posh blogger managed to blag his way in using just a tuxedo, driver and forged ticket he Photoshopped from a real one he’d seen online.
James Ware, who describes himself on Twitter as a “presenter, globetrotter and eggs benedict enthusiast”, walked the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall, hobnobbed with celebrities and drank champagne at the after party (which actually looked kind of depressing).
He detailed exactly how he pulled off the stunt in the video below.
“I met Sam Smith, Chris Evans and Naomie Harris. I also chatted to Joan Collins and Shirley Bassey and then bumped into a few more celebs at the after-party including Greg James who plays Filch,” Ware bragged.
“It was insane – they’d rented out the whole British Museum and it was all inclusive Bollinger champagne, martinis and Heinekens, you name it. There was a really classy area in the central library section – to be honest the party was dominated by an older crowd but there were some people hitting it hard and the scale of the thing was just off the chart.”
Posting selfies with Spectre theme creator Sam Smith on Twitter, Ware also tried to pass himself off as a celebrity at one point, though it didn’t go very well.
“I did at one point try to sign an autograph for the crowd but they didn't take me up on it - they weren't impressed at all,” he said.
