Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice: New trailer sees Batman unmasked

Neither of the superheroes are big talkers

(Warner Bros)

Batman has been unmasked, and it turns out he was a stubbly Ben Affleck all along! And he would have got away with it if it wasn’t for that meddling Man of Steel.

Warner Bros dropped a 49-second teaser for Zack Snyder's sequel last night, which sees Batman chained up alongside two other unknown men (accomplices?) in a desert bunker.

A menacingly looking Henry Cavill then arrives, guards kneeling before him.

Superman rips off the Bat’s mask, presumably to humiliate him and, I’d guess, make some remark about how he doesn’t need to hide behind one (though this isn’t included in the teaser).

The trailer isn’t hugely elucidating, given we all know Ben Affleck is the new Batman, but this is the first time we’ve technically seen him out of costume as Bruce Wayne.

How the hell is a vigilante with a cool utility belt going to beat a super-strength alien who can fly and regenerate in sunlight? We’ll find out when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in cinemas on 25 March, 2016.
