Amidst the multitude of Star Wars treats to go wild with anticipation for - between Rogue One, Episode VIII, or the Han Solo movie - Disney are prepping for one of the ultimate fan experiences around.

A brand new Star Wars-themed land is set to open at Disneyland in Anaheim and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney Resort in Orlando; marking the company's single biggest park expansion, currently primed for 14 acres each, even bigger than the planned Avatar land at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This is epic stuff we're talking about here.

The area will see guests enter a "never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life"; including the chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon, step into the battle between the First Order and the Resistance, taste local delicacies, and visit a cantina.

Deadline reports that crews have already started clearing the land on the site that once marked Big Thunder Central in Frontierland; the area's launch date, however, is yet to be announced.

Disney has, in the meantime, released a brand new piece of concept art for the land which you can see below, alongside previously released concept art for the area.

The image gives a pretty good overview of what the site will look like, alongside a look at the iconic Millennium Falcon parked on the open pavement area. The river you can see in the image is the famous Rivers of America, where the now-docked Mark Twain Riverboat and sailing ship Columbia are located.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits UK cinemas 16 December.
