Even though the Star Wars prequels had hundreds of issues - awful dialect, hundreds of plot holes, Anakin - there was one character who was unanimously the worst thing to ever appear in the galaxy far, far away: Jar Jar Binks.

While it’s generally thought JJ Abrams won’t feature the gungan in the upcoming The Force Awakens, that hasn’t stopped one fan ruining the second trailer by cropping him into almost every frame.

“Who are you?” says the voice from the original trailer. “Meesa Jar Jar Binks.” *Shudders* Watch the brilliantly titled Star Wars: The Binks Awakens, trailer #2 below.

Terrifying.

According to reports, Abrams has considered killing off Jar Jar in the upcoming film: "I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks’s bones in the desert there. I’m serious! Only three people will notice, but they’ll love it.”

Tickets for The Force Awakens went on sale earlier this week, causing both Odeon and Picturehouse websites to falter. They described it as an “unprecedented demand” for tickets.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in cinemas on 17 December (UK) and 18 December (US).
