Possible hints not close to as shocking as what the latest teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi unveiled: cruel, unfettered porg abuse. I was rooting for you Chewbacca, we were all rooting for you. How dare you?

Especially considering the info revealed by Neal Scanland, who heads the Creature Workshop for Star Wars, in the latest issue of Empire; explaining that the porg seen in the cockpit is befriended by Chewie, as "that porg in particular shows some very Wookiee traits in the way he's coloured; his patterning is very similar to Chewie's."

Then why this betrayal, Chewie? But it gets worse: fans have already pointed out that, in the film's behind-the-scenes video, Chewbacca is shown sitting in the Millennium Falcon with what appears to be a feather sticking out of his mouth.

Entertainment Weekly also noted that Chewbacca, mourning the loss of Han Solo, is "a little more volatile than usual"; add to that the fact porgs are supposedly not the most careful, street smart of creatures.

"Given how rarely their island has visitors, their curiosity outweighs any skittishness they may have," Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo said in a StarWars.com interview.
