Sundance London will return to the O2 arena next April.
The spin-off from America's Sundance Film Festival made its debut earlier this year.
Running between 25-28 April, the London Sundance will showcase films screened at the Utah-based film festival in January.
Organisers have confirmed two further London Sundances, in 2013 and 2014.
Sundance president Robert Redford told BBC news: ""The vibrant arts community in London has informed this decision as much as anything. Seeing what comes of nurturing a broader global community for new voices and varied perspectives in American independent film and music seems a worthy 21st Century endeavour."
Redford starred in 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid which gives the festival its name.
