Watch Quentin Tarantino read early Kill Bill draft to Robert Rodriguez... in 1994

The footage shows him describing memorable scenes from both Volume 1 and 2

A video of Quentin Tarantino reading an early draft of Kill Bill to Robert Rodriguez a whole nine years before it was made has surfaced online.

Filmed in 1994 - the year Pulp Fiction was released - the director is seen describing several key scenes from his martial arts homages Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2 which were released in 2003 and 2004.

The clip is taken from Rodriguez's series The Director's Chair which sees the Sin City filmmaker interview his directing contemporaries.

While it seems some material fell by the wayside over the ensuing decade, the idea of a bloody wedding and vengeful woman waking from a coma remained.

"I laid in a coma for five years and when I awoke, every emotion in me was dead. Every emotion, that is, except one: desire - the desire for revenge," he reads to an excited Rodriguez.

Tarantino then describes a scene of a woman driving a car and talking to the camera, acknowledging the audience - a scene near-identical to the opening of Kill Bill Volume 2.

He enthusiastically reads, "One man did all this to me...and to him is where I'm driving because there's no one left worth killing, except him.

"The 'him' I'm talking about is called Bill and when I get to where I'm going - about 20 minutes from now - I'm gonna kill Bill."

This corroborates the story that both Tarantino and Kill Bill's eventual lead actress Uma Thurman created the character on the set of Pulp Fiction.
