Whoopi Goldberg is so determined to get Wes Anderson to feature more "folks of colour" in his movies that she has personally requested to star in one herself.

The Oscar-winning actress was talking to regular Anderson actor Jason Schwartzman on US chat show The View when she whipped out her CV and asked him to "pass it on" and let the director know she's available.

Goldberg really wants a part - she even went so far as to joke that full-frontal nudity could be on the cards if that's what it takes.

"I want to do this right because you know I love all the Wes Anderson movies and you starred in, like, almost all of them - Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom and Rushmore and all of those," Goldberg gushed in her best valley-girl voice as the audience cheered.

"So I noticed there's not a lot of folks of colour and I thought I would like to give you my resume to give to Wes Anderson and just to let him know I'm available. As you see, I've interned on The Late Show."

Anderson has been criticised before for working with the same actors over and over again and often failing to diversify his casts, with the vast majority being white.

Goldberg has at least one supporter in Schwartzman who praised her as an "incredible person who has given [him] so many things to be excited about".

The 59-year-old is one of just a select few to have won an EGOT - an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, so we reckon Anderson should more than happy to have her on board his next film.
