With filming on Wonder Woman 1984 (not a crossover with Orwell's famous book) underway, Patty Jenkins has been posting various photos from the set online.

First, the director revealed an image of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, a surprise for everyone who watched the first Wonder Woman due to the character's fate.

Jenkins has now unveiled a first look at a very exciting addition to the cast: Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva, the shape-shifting archaeologist who can transform into a human/cheetah person.

The only other confirmed cast member is Narcos and Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pasco, who will play an unspecified key role.

Original on-screen Wonder Woman Lynda Carter is also rumoured to have a role, although this has not been confirmed.

Geoff Johns and David Callaham penned the script with Jenkins. The sequel, which acts as a follow-up to the 2017 blockbuster, that grossed $817 million at the box office, is set for release in cinemas on 1 November 2019.
