Oscars 2015: Adam Levine to perform nominated song 'Lost Stars' at ceremony

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine will perform at the Oscars next month, the Academy has confirmed.

The singer will perform the Oscar-nominated song “Lost Stars”, written by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois for the film Begin Again.

Levine, who has received three Grammy Awards, made his feature film acting debut in the film, which stars Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.

Announcing the news, Oscar show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said: “Adam Levine is an exceptional and dynamic artist. We’re thrilled to have him make his Oscars stage debut this year.”

“Lost Stars” has been nominated in the Original Song category along with “Everything Is Awesome” from The Lego Movie, “Glory” from Selma, “Grateful” from Beyond the Lights and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me.

The 87th Academy Awards, which will be presented by Neil Patrick Harris, will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday 22nd February.

The Oscars will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.
