Jodie Foster and John C Reilly play an earnest couple whose son has been bashed up by a fellow pupil.
So they invite the thug's well-heeled parents (Kate Winslet, right, and Christoph Waltz) around to discuss the incident in a civilised manner. Both couples unravel spectacularly, proving more unstable than their sons. Based on Yasmina Reza's play, this is a slight chamber piece that lacks a killer punch, but it's never less than watchable.
