This Hollywood remake of Let the Right One In is surprisingly faithful to the Swedish original: it's a sensitive, atmospheric tale of two lonely children, with a suburban setting that would be cold and alienating even without its vampire inhabitants.
But the very fidelity that makes the film so good is also what makes it so missable. If you've seen Let the Right One In, then you've literally seen it all before.
