DVD: The Secret in Their Eyes, For retail & rental (Metrodome)

The winner of last year's Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, this thoughtful Argentine drama stars Ricardo Darin as Benjamin Esposito, a retired justice-department official who starts thinking again about a rape and murder case he investigated 25 years earlier.

The detective work is tantalising, but it's the humanity of the characters that stands out, as Darin is haunted by people he's lost and opportunities he's missed.
