Xbox Series X live shows gameplay from next-generation console

Xbox has revealed 13 games that are coming to their next-generation console, the Xbox Series X.

In a live streamed Inside Xbox presentation, the gaming company provided a first real look at what the new console is capable of.

The first games to be showcased were first-person action game Bright Memory Infinite, racing game Dirt5 and Scorn, a horror.

Space-set game Chorvs: Rise as One was followed by an independent game called Call of the Sea, and The Ascent, a top-down shooter.

Other games on show included Electronic Arts's American football game Madden 21, Paradox Interactive's Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 and The Medium.

Microsoft also showed clips of Second Extinction: Reclaim Earth and a Bandai Namco game called Scarlett Nexus, plus a new Yakuza game, titled Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which will be available when the console launches.

A new video of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, the latest instalment in the hugely popular Assassin's Creed franchise, brought the game announcements to a close.

Clips from the event can be watched on Mixer, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.

The Xbox Series X will be released around the end of the year.
