Letter: Church of the times

Sir: So Ann Widdecombe thinks that anyone who changes sides and joins organisations with a history of subversion against the government of this country should be charged with treason and severely punished ("Straw `kept KGB files from Blair' ", 14 September). She is too hard on herself. The Roman Catholic church is very different these days.
