Sir: In true EU spirit the Germans' un-neighbourly continued ban on UK beef should be matched by a UK ban on the import of German cars. In view of the number of German-manufactured cars on our roads there must be a far greater risk of being killed by a German car on British roads than the risk to German citizens of being killed by British beef.
