Sir: I wasn't unduly worried about millennium bug problems until I read your report (24 May) about the government leaflet being sent to every home. That is about as reassuring as the Tories' stance on BSE and the present government's line on the GM issue. If we are being warned not to stockpile food and banknotes, it's obviously time to act now!
