Eliza and the Bear have put together a video for "Friends", the second euphoric indie-rock single from their upcoming debut album, and you can watch the premiere here on The Independent.

The London-based band went from strength to strength in 2015, establishing a solid reputation for great live shows (you should pick up some of that in the video) plus tours with Paramore and Charli XCX.

Watch the video below and let us know what you think!

Q&A with lead singer James Kellegher

What have you been listening to recently?

I've been listening to the new City and Colour album 'If I Should Go Before You'. I was a bit late to the party and only picked it up at the end of January. But it's really incredible. And the Tame Impala album 'Currents'. Everything about it from the sounds on the record to the artwork is right up my street. Amazing to see them pick up a Brit Award last night too!

What are you most looking forward to for 2016?

I'm most looking forward to getting our album out. We've been working our asses off to get to this point. And we are so proud of what we've made.

What was the first gig you ever played and what's been the best so far?

First gig I ever played was probably at a place called the Robert Beard Centre. I'm pretty sure I didn't even have a full set of lyrics for half the songs we were playing. Best gig we've played has to be headlining a jam-packed KOKO in London, took me a while to come down from it. A close second was definitely Reading and Leeds 2015. It was our first time appearing at the festival and to have a full tent singing along to songs that haven't even been released yet was a big big moment for us.

Eliza and Bear's debut album is out on 8 April
