Florence + The Machine have been confirmed to replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury and, while the backlash is not as fierce as it likely would have been had Taylor Swift been drafted in, many festival-goers are raging at organiser Emily Eavis.

The main complaint about Florence Welch and her band seems to be that their live experience will not match that of the US rockers. But Dave Grohl has broken his leg and is not performing full stop so there was always going to be some disappointment.

There are some fans of the new Friday night headliner out there but as festival-goers were always going to see Florence in the supporting second slot anyway, the surprise element is lacking.

Many of the people complaining about Welch's promotion to bill-topper are not actually going to Glastonbury so it remains to be seen how her set will go down at Worthy Farm on 26 June.

There are of course ticket-holders who can't wait to see her headline and believe her more than capable of giving the Foos a run for their money.
