Latitude 16-10 July
Henham Park, Suffolk
The music: Rock, indie, psychedelic
The line-up: Headliners are Alt-J, Portishead and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Other notable acts include Caribou, James Blake, Manic Street Preachers, Seasick Steve, The Vaccines and Wolf Alice. Comedians performing include Jason Manford, Rob Delaney and Jack Dee.
Who goes there: Alexa Chung, Laura Whitmore, Richard Ayoade have all attended in past years.

Survival kit: Latitude Festival does not allow alcohol to be brought on site. To avoid standing in queues and missing your favourite band remember to bring a backpack and a Platypus hydration container to fill with whatever liquid you may choose.
Look out for: The red and green sheep that graze on site.
The price: Weekend ticket £200.50 (includes camping). There are also family camping sites available for the same price.
Wilderness 6-9 August
Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire
The music: Experimental and folk
The line-up: Björk, Ben Howard, Róisín Murphy, Benjamin Clementine.
Survival kit: Green People's organic sunblock, and hand sanitiser if you intend to take the hands-on deer butchery class.
Who goes there: A previous Wilderness played host to Mark Carney, head of the Bank of England. This year, perhaps local MP David Cameron will be hanging out by the shisha tent.
Look out for: Learn the art of the ukulele with the I Got Uke Babe master class, beginners welcome and ukuleles provided. If you fancy something different, get stuck into taxidermy, where you can learn how to skin, prepare, preserve and mount your own animal.
The price: An adult camping weekend is £165.99 a head.
End of the Road 4-6 September
Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset
The music: A broad range of indie, pop, rock, alternative, psychedelic
The line-up: Sufjan Stevens, Tame Impala, The War on Drugs, Laura Marling, Alvvays. Marking the end of festival season, End of the Road always has a hedonistic blow-out feel about it but if it's relaxation you're after, there are plenty of opportunities in the "healing" area to soothe the soul. The festival has areas dedicated to film, comedy and literature.
Survival kit: Bring baggy pants or leggings for the early-morning workouts.
Look out for: The Bear Tavern, which hosts a real ale festival.
The price: £19
Secret Garden Party 23-26 July
Abbots Ripton, Cambridgeshire
The music: Rock, world, electronica, reggae, folk, dance, house, alternative
The lineup: SGP's USP is offering weird and wonderful "happenings" more than specifically the music but it's still a very strong line-up, including Kate Tempest, Public Service Broadcasting, Roots Manuva and Palma Violets.
Who goes there: Prince Harry was spotted there last year
Survival kit: This year's theme is Childish Things, so elaborate and wacky fancy dress is essential. Also something you don't mind getting messy, ready for the "Sunday Explosion" of paint. A bin bag is recommended to pick up litter in order to claim back the Litter Bond fee of £10, which has been added to every ticket this year.

Look out for: Parades, art tents, theatres, boat rides, treasure hunts, bands in trees, open-mic stages, participatory games and a firework display on Saturday night.

Bestival 10-13 September
Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight
The music: Pop, electronic, dance, house, alternative
Who goes there: Kate Moss and Kelly Osbourne are fans.
The line-up: The Jacksons will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Jackson 5 at Bestival. Other than that the line-up for this year includes The Chemical Brothers, Ella Eyre, Rudimental, Skrillex, Hannah Wants and Mark Ronson.
Survival kit: This year's theme is Bestival's Summer of Love, so whack out your boldest and brightest hippie outfits.
Look out for: Films in the forest.
The price: Adult weekend camping £205 (including booking fee).
