Glastonbury 2015: Stephen Hawking and Dynamo to perform for children at Somerset festival

They will be joining the likes of The Who, Kanye West and Foo Fighters at this years festival

This years Glastonbury line-up just got a whole lot better. Joining the likes of The Who, Kanye West and Foo Fighters will be unlikely performer, world leading physicist and mathematician Stephen Hawking.

The acclaimed author and cosmologist will be making a special guest appearance in the Kidz Field to 'wow' children with his gravitational theories.

TV magician Dynamo has also been confirmed to return, though unlike in previous years he won’t be performing undercover, instead performing in the Kidz Big Top.

Joining them in the Kidz area will stars from the BBC children’s channel CBeebies, as well as various children’s theatre shows. Under 12's get free entry to the festival.

Also performing at the festival will be the Dalai Lama, who confirmed his appearance through a since-deleted post on his website, which read “His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning."

This year’s festival will be taking place between 24 – 28 June at Worthy Farm near Pilton with Pharrell Williams, Florence and the Machine and Patti Smith among the lineup.

As usual the festival will provide its audience with an eclectic mix of artists, with RnB singer Mary J Blige and hard rock pioneers Motörhead both making their first appearances at the Somerset dairy farm.

Motown singer Lionel Richie and jazz singer Gregory Porter, Nineties favourites Suede, The Vaccines, The Maccabees and Alt-J are also set to perform.

The Foos will play the Pyramid stage on Friday with Kanye taking Saturday's headline slot and The Who closing on Sunday.
