Alfred Jackson, Prince's half-brother and one of his six surviving siblings, has died aged 66.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Prince's sister Tyka Nelson posted on Facebook: "Hi... this morning my older beloved brother Alfred passed on. Thank u [sic] for respecting our privacy at this time and 4 being so nice 2 him."

Jackson died at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. The cause of death has not been released, but police told TMZ they believe he died of natural causes.

Jackson was the son of Mattie Baker, Prince's mother, before she married Prince's father, John L Nelson. He was an Air Force veteran and served in Vietnam. Following his brother's death, he reportedly used money from his inheritance to buy a house in Kansas City.

As Prince had no known children and no will was found since his death on 21 April, 2016, his estate affairs have been split between Tyka and his half-siblings Jackson, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson, John Nelson and Omar Baker.
