Earl Sweatshirt accuses Drake of being a ‘vulture’ with new rappers

'Feel like Drake's overall statement isn't "check out this new shit I heard", it's always self-serving'

Earl Sweatshirt has criticised Drake for hopping on young artists and claiming that he discovered them, after he posted an Instagram video of himself dancing to underground rapper Kodak Black.

Before this gets out of hand (probably too late), this isn’t a beef or the start of a feud, just - as Earl says - a criticism.

“drake found kodak black? smh welp” Earl wrote on Twitter.

“drake can be a bit of a vulture on young rap niggas and i don't want lil kodak to be a victim of it” he later elaborated, adding that he “feel like drake overall statement isn't "check out this new shit I heard" it's always self serving”.

@kodakblack

“it's not his job to develop them as artists. but the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry one.”

When he was accused of hating, he countered: “aye but just like the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry so is the one between giving criticism and hating”.

I imagine Drake has a lot of respect for Earl (Kendrick previously named him his favourite rapper in the game right now) so I wouldn’t expect any diss tracks a la Meek Mill on this occasion.
