Presenting Electro Velvet, the UK's Eurovision Song Contest entry for 2015 whether you like them or not.

That's right, the upbeat electro-swing duo have been selected by the BBC to represent our country in the annual cheese-off.

Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas will be heading to Vienna in May after bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst won for Austria last year.

Here's everything you need to know about Electro Velvet before Eurovision fever sets in:

What are they singing?

"Still In Love With You" by David Mindel and Adrian Bax White. You can listen to it below. It's a sort of strange 1920s take on "Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book, or seems to be. Catchy but far from song of the year...or anything close.

Who even are these people?

Bianca Nicholas, 26, appeared alongside Johnny Depp in Sleepy Hollow in her early teens and was a contestant on The Voice last year. Bianca suffers from cystic fibrosis and needs daily physiotherapy but refuses to let the condition prevent her from realising her dreams.

Alex Larke, 35, was inspired to pursue a musical career aged 15 when he began listening to Oasis. He is lead singer for Rolling Stones tribute band The Rollin' Clones which is why he is seen pulling some Jagger-esque moves in the video. Alex also works part-time teaching music in a primary school.

Do they have a chance of glory?

Twitter doesn't seem to think so, but never say never. Electro Velvet have vowed to make the UK "proud" in Austria, despite this being their debut song, but Molly Smitten-Downes said similar things last year and failed to break the Top 15 with "Children of the Universe".

Here's hoping Electric Velvet don't mimic our last male-female duo Jemini, who scored the first, dreaded "nil points" for the UK in 2003.

What have they got to say about the whole thing?

Alex: "I feel incredibly privileged and humbled to be representing the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, for this massively historic 60th anniversary event. We have a fantastic song and will work as hard as is humanly possible to bring the contest home and make our great nation proud. It's time to get this party started! See you in Vienna!"

Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas make up Electro Velvet

Bianca: "I am so proud to have been chosen to be a part of the world’s biggest song contest - Eurovision! It's such an honour to represent the UK, especially in its 60th year too! I have never been to Austria before, and I can't wait to get out to Vienna and do my best, and I hope to make the UK proud!"

Find out if Electro Velvet can bring home the goods this year on Saturday 23 May when the grand final takes place.
