The Wu-Tang Clan are to reunite on stage in the UK this summer to mark the 20th anniversary of their 1993 debut album Enter The Wu Tang (36 Chambers).

The Staten Island collective, known as one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful hip hop groups, will play live dates in Manchester and London.

Group members RZA, GZA, Raekwon, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Method Man and Masta Killah will also release a brand new album A Better Tomorrow in July, to coincide with their tour.

The Wu-Tang Clan will perform their new material along with classic tracks on stage at Manchester’s 02 Apollo and Brixton’s O2 Academy in July.

Speaking to the New York Times about the reunion, RZA- real name Robert Diggs- said: “There’s one last job Wu-Tang Clan must do. And we need to, one more time, completely, efficiently, properly, professionally represent our brand.

“One more time. But this time, showing up on time for press and for concerts and studio. Do it one more time, perfect.”

Tickets for Wu-Tang Clan’s UK dates go on sale  Friday 12 April from 9am.
