Flight of the Conchords announce tour dates with promise of new material

It’s business time: Brett McKenzie and Jemaine Clement are getting the band back together and hitting the road!

Flight of the Conchords are set to tour the US come June and July later this year, their first set of dates since 2013.

According to the press release, released by Sub Pop, the Grammy-Award winning folk duo has new material which they will showcase on the tour.

“I’m thrilled to get back on the road with over half the original band,” said Brett of the reunion.

Earlier this year it was announced the pair would headline Newport Folk Festival. Whether their manager Murray has booked them on any UK dates has yet to be confirmed.

Despite its cult popularity, the Flight of the Conchords TV series only ran for two seasons on HBO, and has yet to be renewed. However, with a the band reformed, perhaps we can expect some big news sometime soon. We can only hope.
