Foo Fighters to headline Glastonbury 2015? Both band and festival organisers are keen

The Foo Fighters look to be a good bet for Glastonbury 2015, after Dave Grohl said the organisers should "give us a call" and Emily Eavis said the band are "overdue" a performance.

Unbelievably the band haven't played the festival since 1998, and asked by NME whether they would be keen to return to Worth Farm, Grohl said: "I mean, it's an iconic festival.

"I just tell everyone if they need a band, we're pretty good. They should give us a call. See what happens."

Eavis was asked to respond to their comments, which she received warmly.

"We'd love to have the Foo Fighters back at Glastonbury and they haven't played since 1998 so it's well overdue!" she said. "We'll have to see..."

Foo Fighters release their eigth album "Sonic Highways" on 10 November, which was recording at various iconic studios across America, each visit being turned into an instalment of a documentary currently being shown on BBC Four.

Other bands rumoured to headline the festival this year include Fleetwood Mac, Muse and AC/DC.
