Glastonbury 2015 line-up: Michael Eavis hints he's keen to book Taylor Swift and Oasis

The country-pop singer could perform during a gap in her 1989 world tour

Taylor Swift could be following in Dolly Parton's country-pop footsteps at Glastonbury if organiser Michael Eavis' latest comments are anything to go by.

The "Shake It Off" singer scored the fastest-selling album in 12 years with 1989 this week, meaning she should draw a large festival crowd.

Swift has already been confirmed to headline British Summer Time Hyde Park on the Saturday of Glastonbury weekend, but a gap in her world tour would permit her to play other UK dates.

"Taylor would be great to follow the Dolly Parton slot – especially being a country singer," Eavis told The Mirror, adding that his aim of securing Fleetwood Mac is "not looking good at the moment".

One other possible act up Eavis' sleeve is Oasis, despite the iconic Nineties group splitting in 2009 after Noel Gallagher's departure.

"I do talk to Noel and Liam a lot," he said. "Wouldn't it be marvellous for them to relaunch at Glastonbury, now Liam has split from Beady Eye?"

The former Oasis frontman posted news of the split on Twitter last month but did not explain why his band was calling it a day.

Oasis last headlined the Somerset festival in 2004, alongside Muse and Sir Paul McCartney.

Eavis, 79, recently debunked rumours that another of the bookies' favourites, Queen, would not be headlining Glastonbury 2015.

"Queen? Not Queen, no. Fleetwood Mac don't seem to be available at the moment," he told Music Week. "But we've got three excellent headliners for next year."

The headliners are not due to be announced until spring. Eavis' office has dismissed recent reports as speculation at this stage.
