Gorillaz rapper Del the Funky Homosapien falls from stage during performance in Denmark

Gorillaz's Roskilde set faced an unfortunate mishap when rapper Del the Funky Homosapien fell off the stage mid-song.

The rapper took a tumble while the group - fronted by Damon Albarn - were performing their hit song "Clint Eastwood", resulting in the performance being cut short as Albarn told the crowd: "Thanks for a beautiful evening.”

Festival organisers posted about the incident on Facebook, in a statement which read: "He was seen on site by a doctor and went to the hospital for further examination."

"He's conscious and talking to his team. We hope he recovers quickly and wish him a speedy recovery."

The Danish festival, which takes place 30 minutes outside of Copenhagen, is the largest Northern European culture and music festival, running from 30 June until 7 July.

Gorillaz headlined the festival alongside Eminem, Bruno Mars, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Their latest album, The Now Now, was released on 29 June, with tracks "Humility", "Lake Zurich", "Sorcerez", and "Fire Flies" all receiving separate releases.
