Grammy nominations 2018 announced

It’s that time of the year - when award nominees are announced and ‘Best Album of the Year’ lists are published.

Tomorrow (28 November), The Recording Academy will announce the nominees for the 60th Grammy Awards, with Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar predicted to gain multiple nominations.

Other artists with albums out this year who are expected to contend for the biggest awards are SZA, Harry Styles, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, and Jay-Z.

Singer/songwriter Andra Day — whose song “Rise Up” was nominated for a Grammy in 2016 — will kick off the nominations, revealing the four biggest categories: Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year.

The announcement will be broadcast in America on CBS at 1.30pm GMT/8:30am ET/5:30am PT, with the other categories — all 84 of them — being announced straight after on the Grammy's website.

Last year’s awards show was filled with huge moments, including Adele taking home album and song of the year for the record 25.

The night's performers included Adele, Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, The Weeknd and Daft Punk, Anderson .Paak, and A Tribe Called Quest, amongst many others.
