Madonna fans are accusing Kanye West of ripping off the pop singer with the cover of his new album The Life of Pablo.

The mildly nausea-inducing artwork features a small family picture in the bottom left corner, with the title typed repeatedly across an orange background (warning: best avoided on a hangover).

Meanwhile, the cover for Madonna’s 2003 single Nothing Fails also features a small insert photo, this time in the bottom right, with lyrics printed across a similar background colour.

Take a look at the two designs for yourself:

Belgian artist Peter De Potter designed West’s cover after likely coming to the rapper’s attention on Tumblr and social media.

Some fans have merely noted the “inspiration” of Madonna’s cover, while others are angry that he reportedly replaced Madonna with Young Thug on the track Highlights.

Madonna is yet to comment on the similar album sleeves but revealed herself a Kanye fan last year, when she described him as “a beautiful mess” and “a brilliant madman”.

The pair recently collaborated on Madonna’s latest album Rebel Heart, with West co-producing the song “Illuminati”.
