Kendrick Lamar performed a brand new song on The Tonight Show

It didn't disappoint.

Though Jimmy Fallon introduced Kendrick Lamar holding up a To Pimp a Butterfly LP on Thursday night's episode of The Tonight Show, K-Dot dropped a fresh track on the unsuspecting audience.

Simply named 'Untitled 2', it follows suit with old school, funk-tinged instrumentation, but builds to a crescendo with Kendrick stepping away from the mic stand and hurling bars.

The '2' in the title is presumably a reference to it following on from a similar stream of consciousness-type untitled track he performed on The Colbert Report last year.

It's unlikely that this track will feature on Kendrick's next album, though the TPAB follow-up is something he's already thinking about.
