Update: Lil Wayne has finally addressed the reports and says he hasn't quit the tour.

Lil Wayne has appeared to quit his US tour with pop-punk band Blink-182, after abruptly cutting short his set during a stop in Virginia and proclaiming his dissatisfaction with the size of the crowd.

Scheduled to appear at the midway point between Welsh pop-punk band Neck Deep and Blink-182 and perform 30 tracks, Wayne was in the middle of his third track of the evening when he called for the music to be halted and addressed the crowd.

“I just want the people to know if you were wondering,” he said, “please forgive me but I am so not used to performing to a crowd and there’s not too many… that’s not my swag, I’m not sure how long I’m gonna be able to do this tour, but make some noise for Blink-182 for including me anyway.”

He added, “This might be my last night”. After performing one more song, he reportedly walked off stage after announcing “y’all are wack, I’m out of here”, leaving his band and audience members confused.

Fans have subsequently condemned the rapper on social media, one tweeting: “PayPal me my gas and ticket money.”

Neither Wayne nor Blink-182 have commented on the status of Wayne’s presence on the tour moving forward, which is scheduled to run through September.
