Listen to Zayn Malik's debut solo album 'Mind of Mine', released one year after leaving One Direction
The album sees Malik's move away from his boy band origins, while still holding steadfast to pop structures and appeals
The journey, whose destination is merely to travel as far as physically possible from any boy band roots, has finally completed.
Zayn Malik has released his debut solo album Mind of Mine, exactly one year after his widely publicised departure from One Direction broke both hearts, and large swathes of the internet.
Early reviews appear mixed to positive for the new tracks; though his pop-friendly structures hold steadfastly to his creative past, critics are certainly labelling the artist one to watch in the future. Unsurprisingly, it's an enormous hit amongst loyal 1D fans, who have seen the album trending on Twitter thanks to their effusive praise of the new tracks.
Find out for yourself here; with the album already available to stream on Spotify. It's also currently available on iTunes, where the Deluxe Edition comes with four additional songs.
The drop follows the previous release of four songs from the album; starting with hit single "Pillowtalk", followed by promo singles "Like I Would", "It's You", and "BeFoUr".
