Coachella, the Californian music festival famous for its relentless sun, beautiful A-list guests and fondness for resurrecting dead rappers via hologram, has just announced the inaugural SS Coachella, a festival at sea.

Departing from Florida this December, they will make two voyages, one through the Bahamas, the second to Jamaica. Pulp will be headlining, while the likes of Warpaint, Grimes and Black Lips will also be entertaining punters. In January the Weezer cruise headed off to Mexico, carrying the alternative rock band and 2,800 fans, but SS Coachella is the first established festival to branch out to the high seas. Can we expect Glastonbury to follow suit?
