Nicki Minaj has revealed that her hugely anticipated follow-up to her 2014 album The Pinkprint is set to be released on 10 August.

The US rapper shared the cover art for her fourth studio record Queen on her official Twitter account - a portrait taken by Mert and Marcus.

"My greatest work to date," Minaj write. "Thank you for your patience & love. Pre-Order next week."

Minaj has already released two tracks - “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li” - as well as music videos for both.

“Chun-Li”, the album's lead single, recently made it into the top 10 of the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking Minaj as the woman with the most top 10 hits on the chart - more than Beyonce and Mary J Blige, according to Billboard.

She was recently announced as a headliner for Made in America festival, and has also teased an upcoming collaboration with Ariana Grande.
