The Met: Live in HD transmits live performances by the Metropolitan Opera in high definition to theaters around the world. On Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 pm EST, the Met will broadcast Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, featuring legendary tenor Plácido Domingo.

Simon Boccanegra is both a political thriller and the tragic story of a father and his lost daugher. Domingo, four decades into his Metropolitan Opera career, makes history as a tenor performing the baritone title role. Adrianne Pieczonka, Marcello Giordani, and James Morris co-star.

Live in HD is broadcast to hundreds of movie theaters in more than 40 countries. A full list of participating theaters, as well as the full 2010 schedule of broadcasts, is on the Met Opera website.
