*Update* The Sherlocks appear to have deleted their version of the poster

The Sherlocks have been caught out after apparently sneaking themselves higher up the billing for Y Not? Festival.

It didn’t take a lot of detective work for fans to spot a difference between the official poster released by the festival and the one shared by the band on their social media accounts.

On the official version, the band were listed on the fourth line alongside acts including Buzzcocks, Fat White Family, Tom Grennan, Peace and Shame.

On The Sherlocks’ version, they were bumped up to the third line with Circa Waves, Seasick Steve and Levellers; bumping The Amazons down to the fourth row. The band also posted this version on their Facebook page.

Some fans on Twitter claimed the band blocked them after they called them out for the move, while others criticised them for the perceived arrogance of believing they deserved a bigger slot.

Many mocked up other alternative versions of festival lineups in response:

So far Y Not? Festival and The Amazons have not responded to the poster. The Independent has contacted a representative of The Sherlocks for comment.
