Solange has taken the world off guard and surprise released her new album.

When I Get Home, the singer's fourth full-length album, is comprised of 19 tracks and incorporates funk, R&B, blues and soul over its 39-minute runtime.

Artists to feature on the album include Tyler, the Creator, Gucci Mane, Sampha, Cassie, and Dev Hynes (Blood Orange).

The reaction online has so far been positive, with fans calling the album "breathtaking".

Solange preceded the release with a takeover of the website BlackPlanet.com, which included cryptic phrases that appeared to announce her statement of intent with this album: "An exploration of origin... I made the pilgrimage back to the pagoda of Third Ward Houston to answer this."

The album is available on all major streaming services, including Spotify and Apple Music.
