Spice Girls announce a six-date reunion tour for 2019

The Spice Girls reunion tour has been hit with complaints and demands for refunds, after persistent sound issues.

Both the group’s performances at Dublin’s Croke Park on Friday and at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Monday saw complaints from fans that they could not hear the music properly from inside the venue.

After the Welsh concert, one fan wrote on Twitter: “Okay so @spicegirls was so much fun however the sound was atrocious and you could not hear what they actually said! So disappointing when you pay soo much for a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Another commented: “@spicegirls how disappointing to spend money on a ticket to see you @principalitysta and the support act stole the show! Sound was pants!”

After Friday’s show, band member Mel B said she hoped the sound “will be much better” at Cardiff.

Millions of people attempted to purchase tickets for the Spice Girls’ long-awaited reunion tour when sales opened in last November.

Demand was “off the charts”, according to Andrew Parsons, Ticketmaster’s managing director. They will play sell-out shows at venues, including London’s Wembley Stadium, until 15 June.
