A young woman who fell over during a Stone Roses concert in Glasgow on Saturday has died of her injuries.

The unnamed 24-year-old was among around 50,000 people who attended the gig at Glasgow Green over the weekend.

She was treated by paramedics at the venue but later died after being transferred to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said a post-mortem examination would be held to establish the exact circumstances of her death.

Last July Christopher Brahney, 22, from Timperley died after attending the Stone Roses’ reunion concert at Heaton Park, Manchester.

His body was discovered in the Manchester Ship Canal a week after the concert.
