The 60-strong Welsh Fron Male Voice Choir has produced the fastest-selling classical album of all time, selling 165,000 copies in just three weeks.

Voices of the Valley has outsold The Three Tenors, Russell Watson and Hayley Westenra, and according to the choir's record label, Universal Classics, this makes it the fastest-selling classical act of all time.

The Fron Male Voice Choir began life in 1947, but its fortunes changed after the former manager of boy band Blue saw them perform at a friend's wedding.

The group come from the Welsh village of Froncysyllte in north Wales and includes a teacher, a retired prison officer and retired miners.
