You can finally listen to Kanye West's 'Famous' and its controversial Taylor Swift lyrics on Spotify

It's the first track from his Tidal-exclusive album Life of Pablo to be released on Spotify and Apple Music

Kanye West has dropped his first track from the Tidal-exclusive Life of Pablo on Spotify and Apple Music.

An updated version of 'Famous', which Pitchfork notes swaps the original line "she be Puerto Rican day parade wavin'" for "she in school to be a real estate agent", is now available on the streaming platforms; alongside Google Play Music and Tidal.

The Rihanna-featuring track sparked controversy for its lyrics referencing Taylor Swift, which still feature on the updated version; “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that b***h famous,” though he has vigorously defended their inclusion with claims that he discussed the lyrics with the singer and that she even found the song amusing.

However, Swift appeared to strike back at the lyrics during her Grammy acceptance speech, which marked her as the first woman to twice win the Best Album award.

"As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there," Swift said in her speech. "There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and don't let those people sidetrack you, some day when you get where you're going you will look around and know it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”

This isn't the first time West has tinkered with tracks from Life of Pablo, following his previous assertion that he has "fixed" track "Wolves". Elsewhere, it looks as if a tour announcement for the artist is imminent.
