The UK's Gold Panda is one of those laptop musicians – you can file him alongside Four Tet and Caribou – who stand against the prevailing wind of heavy, monochromatic bass music and make filigreed, skittering, psychedelic techno for daydreams and summer evenings.
His debut, Lucky Shiner, was on many critics' Best of 2010 lists (including this reviewer's), and if his follow-up doesn't evince quite the same exuberance, it still twinkles with a well-travelled exoticism.
